History of the megamix: Where's My 808? aka Oldschool Electro Megamix Vol 1

Phunkula mixes electro classics and beats to bring back that 80s late night megamix mayhem that rocked the airwaves around the world back in the day. Remember KISS, WBLS, KDAY and all the pirate stations all over the world from London to Amsterdam? Listen closely to spot your favorite electro jam or beats in the mix. Respect to the true pioneers of the razor blade edit Latin Rascals and all the mastermixers who started it all. This mix is a couple of years old now but the music in it is timeless.

This seems to be the same mix that was posted on your old site as Old Skewl Electro Mix Vol 1. I was hoping this was going to be part 2 that you had talked about..

On a side note Where's my 808 mix runs 56:46 and the Old Skewl Electro mix runs 57:21

Anyhow, still a fantastic mix..

Hi, mix sounds quite good ! I'm a (amature) mixer myself and I just started experimenting with doing some edits in my own mixes ... it's hard work and takes a lot of time to do them ! that's for sure ! But there is one thing about these edit-mixes .. you mustn't listen to it to for too long or else you will get ear-trouble ;-)

Thanks for putting it online !

You can also check my own site for info on mixes made by me: http://www.sfinxweb.com/vepnl/

Phunk, you make tight mixes. I have had this for 2 years now, and by far it is still my favorite.

Long mixes have to be RARed since there are restrictions on file size on the backend. Ain't life a perculator.
